Best film sofar: Hundstage.

Fat girl (Ŕ ma soeur!) is beautiful, touching, with a twist at the end. You do feel that something is going to happen near the end. Still remember the little doll with the yellow shirt and red trousers dangling inside the truck.

Not sure i will have the chance to see Donnie Darko, but the website is promising...

All Filmfestival now. Its fun to work at the box office, even though not as much as it was 9-7 years ago. It doubled in size since then, so more tickets, more films, more volunteers - 150 at the box office alone. No brilliant film sofar, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is entertaining, but not earth shattering.

A quiet start today, a bit of time to relax before i go and try to get a ticket for Britney Baby. First though, a hot shower!

A lot of puzzling, reading, blind guessing, fitting in a wedding and work. Done!

Hey, you can walk outside the maze too! The thought never crossed my mind, but it happened just yet. Not that there is any use for that... I had one comment, that there are only two real choices in the mace, and you fill up the entire maze. Yep, comes close to my view on love. Being forced to going round and round. Still a happy end, but its far far away, even though you come close to it sometimes. Me, i haven't finished the journey yet!

The next two/three weeks are going to be busy. Tomorrow i'll start working at the Rotterdam Filmfestival, selling tickets. Hopefully i'll be able to do some updates, even if its only pictures. For now, i gotta read my new Flash book, the ticket instruction papers, the newspaper and the filmfestival program which i managed to take with me from the filmfestival office. :-)

Back from a lovely day in Amsterdam, where i was being told in real life that the alt spamlist actually mentioned me.

A little treat, for a short time online. If love were all, by the Pet Shop Boys. Enjoy!

An adaptation of the tennis game from Flash Games Studio (FGS). I build in the levels, which make it more fun to play. Well, for me anyway. Haven't gotten above level 6 yet, curious how far people actually get. A couple of things could be different: the serve is always from the same position and not by a user action. Think i'll tackle that problem in a break out game. Not described in FGS, but the physics are about the same.

Its a wonderful feeling, getting a grip on this stuff. OK, its old boring games, but i gotta start somewhere. Its fascinating all the same!

Equally fascinating: dodezielen.blogspot.com (Dutch only sofar).

Funny little thing. Yesterday i bought Flash Games Studio - highly recommended! - so now i'm playing around with code, thinking about gameworlds, learning new techniques. Behaviour is simple, the balls accelerate and turn red when they bump into each other, decelerate when they hit the border. I didn't anticipate they would try to sit in the corner. I've watched it quite long, and there is a stable endstate, mainly because so many are eliminated from the hustle and bustle. I could experiment with different acceleration and deceleration ratios, ofcourse, but somehow i think i won't be doing that!

I said in an earlier posting i would stop doing besides. Mainly because sometimes its very tempting to write something very personal here, as it happens when you sit alone at home feeling horrible. I don't like coming back on my word, but i still enjoy writing here. It simply shouldn't replace a diary, its a public thing, easy to forget sometimes, for me. Very happy i started doing presents on a daily basis again. Doing me good!

I believe in doing what I can
In crying when I must
In laughing when I choose

Hey ho if love were all
I should be lonely

I believe the more you love a man
The more you give your trust
The more you're bound to lose
Although when shadows fall
I think if only
Somebody splendid really needed me
Someone affectionate and dear
Chaos would be ended if I knew that he
Wanted to have me near
But I believe that since my life began
The most I've had is just a talent to amuse

Hey ho if love were all
Hey ho if love were all

(Coward)
